Teach it at your site.
A site licence gives a club, school provider, library or coach the instructor books, the Rank Day papers and the right to award the eight ranks. Apply online; payment details come with the licence.

The instructor books are printed with the site's name and mailed. - Check and teach
A site confirms its own instructor with written checks and keys: a readiness check (18 of 20 to pass), one observed session, and a calibration within one level on 10 of 12 anchor samples.
What a licence includes
- A licence includes the Instructor Edition, Annotated, and the Session Plans for every rank licensed.
- A licence includes the Rank Day Papers, to copy for the site's own Rank Day.
- A licence includes the Site Manual and the Teacher's Chess Companion for the tier.
- A licence includes the Family Packet and the forms, to copy for the site's families.
- A licence includes the readiness check, the observation form and a calibration set with its key.
- A licence includes the right to use the name and to issue ranks, reports and certificates.
What it does not include
- A licence does not include training, visits, calls or workshops: the materials are written to be used without them.
- Student Books are ordered at the site price, one per learner.
- The site provides the room, boards and clocks, its insurance and its staff checks.
- A licensed site runs its own cycle with its own instructor; nobody from the company attends.

Who can teach it?
For White and Yellow, a teacher needs no playing strength: the Teacher's Chess Companion, Foundation, holds the chess, and the Instructor Edition has every answer. Higher tiers add their own written check. One certified instructor may teach and score alone; the method requires no second adult. Student leaders never score, are never alone with younger learners, and are never responsible for safety.

Outside New York, register all the same: licences for other states open after counsel's advice for each state. Not issued, approved or endorsed by the New York State Education Department or any school district. Schools decide how to use its reports.
