Funding

Paying for books and a licence with outside money.

Each site applies for its own funding, and each funder decides. The company never applies for a grant for a site and never takes a share of one.

Where a site may look

Funding a site may look at: its own program budget, its PTA or PTO, its Friends of the Library, a local sponsor, chess-equipment programs and its school district's enrichment funds.

Ask for the funding guide through the contact form, and it comes back by email.

A local business can pay for the books or the licence of a named library, school or provider on Long Island, paid to that organization itself. A sponsor pays the school, library or provider directly; the company never receives a sponsor's money for a site.

  • Sixteen Student Books at the site price cost $200 (introductory, subject to counsel).
  • The Founding Pilot and sixteen Student Books together cost $495 (introductory, subject to counsel).
  • A Foundation Site License and sixteen Student Books together cost $895 for the first year (introductory, subject to counsel).

A sponsor is thanked by name only with the sponsor's written permission, and never with a learner's name or photograph. No learner's name or data is ever shared with a sponsor. We make no tax claim; a sponsor asks its own tax adviser.

Every price is introductory, subject to counsel.
